10+ years later, i still have a small scar at the right lower corner of my abdomen :) I dont mind it, I think it's kinda cute

I has this same exact process done to me it started with random pain in the upper half of my stomach then it slowly travelled below my belly button, It was hard for me to sleep, some clinic practitioner gave me pain medicines but the pain returned in morning no injection worked too, he said my ultrasound is clear but the pain was so excruciating that I had to go again in evening when he told me to refer to a bigger hospital in the ct scans they quickly found my appendicitis only I know how I slept that night I was operated and my appendix was burst luckily no infections or anything and my operation wasn't horrible like some people here ( hope they're okay) but I was vomiting water out for a solid 4 days and sleeping at night was difficult I still have stitches there it has been 12 days since my operation I'll get then half cut today according to the doctor let's see but this was a reminded to my parents that something serious can be happening to you while you think it's gas pain

Les temps de l'appendicectomie sont respectés. Mais, le moignon appendiculaire me paraît trop long. Pour moi, le caecum aurait été extériorisé complètement et l'appendice aurait été ligaturé à sa base avant l'enfouissemrnt.. Merci. Pr. JAMES Komlavi Lomé (Togo).

My mother had the ileostomy. My understanding is the colostomy. You can actually control and can actually be reversed. I’m not sure if the ileostomy can or not be interesting to know. It was not a great experience. I remember as a child having to help my mother, I could never learn to deal with the smell. It was so unlike a regular poop smell it was crazy, my understanding is because it’s all liquid. It doesn’t get absorbed yet, but my mother’s bag used to have problems it would pop off and this was like 20 now I hear that the bags have a way to deal with the gas now but it’s too bad they can’t do it so that the smell is gone I remember a nurse actually refusing to change my bed, her bag and my mother calling the house in tears. I’ve never forgotten that it’s so sad that even nurses will treat people terribly like this. >.
